The new board of BouT has publicly stepped forward. The new board consists of (from left to right) Dwayne van Halewijn (Events&Education), Joost van de Ven (Secretary), Luuk Graamans (Chairman) and Freek van Zeist (Treasurer&Media). After the official inauguration on the 7th of February the board has eagerly spent its time, enthusiasm and energy to bring the association to a new level. With a brand new website, a revised Facebook page, new contacts with commercial organisations and an increase in educational affairs within BKCity we are already working on making a radical change within BouT and the faculty as a whole.

As you all experience, the market for architecture and design is drastically changing. The future of design, sustainability and finances all revolves around one thing: technology. In order to adapt, BouT is also changing. We will try to show and teach students the (new) possibilities of building technology through excursions, symposia, education, articles, networking, internships and company relations. We will organize more events than ever, which are also in line with contemporary building issues and student courses.

After the completion of one excursion and having multiple events already scheduled, the board is dead-set on improving the quality of education, involvement and communication within Building Technology. This is just the start of things to come! BouT is here for you, so don’t be afraid to ask us about anything or stop by at our cabinet @ 02.west.090.
